Scholarships

The Rochester District Youth Soccer League is pleased to support our college bound soccer players with our Annual Scholarship Program. Two scholarships will be presented to one boy and to one girl in the amount of $1000. Starting with the 2013 season this is a one-time scholarship award. Eligible candidates:

• Must have graduated high school (or equivalent) this year.
• Must be attending an accredited college next year.
• Must be a player, coach or assistant coach on a current RDYSL roster. The roster must be entered in the State system (currently RosterPro).
• Applications must be completed and received by July 1^st of the year the candidate graduates.
• In a year where the season is cancelled prior to the start date indicated on the calendar, no scholarships will be awarded. In a year where the season is cancelled after the start date scholarships will be awarded.
• Family and relatives of RDYSL Board members are not eligible.

The RDYSL Scholarship Committee will review applications and the awards will be announced by August 1^st. Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria (listed in no specific order):

• Academic Achievement
• Soccer Experience
• Soccer Related Essay
