RAYSL and MCGSL Special Meeting to
Vote on the Plan of Merger into RDYSL

 

Tuesday, December 5, 2000 - 7 P.M. - D'Andrea's Party House

 

 

Attendees: Larry Evarts, Ken Bliss, Neil Fisher, Lou Boyon, Rick Frisicano, Wayne Menz, Peppy Ehrlich, Mark Van Dellon, Andrea Patton

 

Meeting brought to order: 7:00 P.M. by Ken Bliss

 

1.       Adidas Workshop - Ken

a.        Ken and Neil were asked by Tony Buniskis to have the League host the Workshop.

b.       Complement to our League that we could handle hosting it.

c.        Board supported this as a benefit to the community and to Rochester soccer.

d.       Unfortunately Rochester does not have the facilities to host this in the event space or hotel accommodations.

2.       League Cup - Ken

a.        Surveys in favor of this.

b.       Board has to approve.

c.        May be a pre-season event in the month of May.

d.       Fee undetermined but will just cover costs.

e.        For U11 and up - not U10.

3.       Meeting - February 7

a.        Not just for Presidents recommend that Clubs bring their computer person because this year all forms will be done on the computer.

b.       Going over all forms at this meeting.

4.       Questions from Floor:

a.        Is the League involved in the planning for MCC? Yes, League (Neil and Ken) were called for this.

b.       Dave Rich stated that the Brockport Tournament will be July 22 - 24.

c.        Ken reminded all in attendance to check the Website.

d.       Dave Rich is the new Boys U11-12 coordinator.

5.       Vote - Ken

a.        Information goes to Ian Redpath who will take it to the Courts for final approval.

b.       This meeting should be the conclusion until Incorporation completed by Courts.

c.        Only people who can vote are the delegates.

d.       Ken will call Club name and then state if the delegates have cast votes or delegates can vote from the floor.

e.        Vote has to be conducted by League - RAYSL will vote first.

6.       New By-Laws - Ken

a.        Vote by Club

b.       Vote by Club board - 10 teams- 10 votes

7.       Assets of both Leagues - Ken

a.        In Plan of Merger to use up funds

b.       RAYSL and MCGSL will be dissolved when this is complete

c.        Everything gets merged into RDYSL

d.       Use up extra money by not charging Clubs

e.        Any new Clubs will have to pay $2.50 for player registration and $20.00 for team registration

f.         Next year this will apply to Churchville

g.       Eventually Board will have to reinstate fee when money is used - approx. 3 years

h.       Motion - Rick - I move that all assets including money, equipment, records, and supplies be transferred from the Rochester Area Youth Soccer League and the Monroe County Girls Soccer League to the Rochester District Youth Soccer League immediately on notice of approval of consideration by the State of New York of the Rochester Area Youth Soccer League and the Monroe County Girls Soccer League to the Rochester District Youth Soccer League.
